I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ) {5 B, }9 y( y# p' o) f/ ]7 @ d8 ~4 l& v* H' G
